Restorations are unique each and every time, usually they can be completed in 2-3 weeks, sometimes less/sometimes more depending on the manner of restoration desired.
Yes, we love to work with vintage gear! The labor rate is the same as any other repair or restoration, unless specific components, parts or modifications are desired. We use high-grade components and much TLC when working on vintage gear.
Yes, however it really depends on the emergency or particular service required. Simply call us and we'll do what we can to help you. There is an upcharge for these types of services, which we will determine during your request.
Great question! We will interview you to determine your experience level and advise you appropriately from there. If you want us to restore or build, you simply drop off the gear. Otherwise, these services require dedicated involvement by our team and as such will cost higher per hour. In most cases, we'll block off 2–6-hour slots and schedule with you to work together.
We like to take equipment off your hands as parts donors, shells to use for repurposing into a new amp, and even just because we like gear! Either way simply call us, and we can give you a quote over the phone. Our offers will not be retail but are fair based on market value/value of parts that are available in the amp, and finally the state of the amp, i.e. does it work or not?
1st we conduct an interview to find out: 1) the types of music and tones that inspire you, and 2) the complaints or dislikes of your current gear. From there we'll offer up recommendations. Tone shaping and gain are 2 very common mods. We'll also advise you on amp protection, tube types, pedal placement, effects loops, guitar pickups and speaker selection as these are all crucial to your tone. In the end it's really not rocket science, most of the best designs have been around since the 1950's/6
Yes, we provide some basic services like pickup replacement, volume and tone control repair/replacement, tone cap replacement/upgrades. We DO NOT DO setups, intonation or neck repairs; we can recommend very good providers for those types of services.
